We want to ensure that all the responsible parties involve in the coup are held accountable.
The 2008 constitution of Myanmar created a special judiciary system for the military personal that placed directly under the military court. The military judiciary system gave a wide range of amnesty to military personal allowing violence crimes against the civilians goes unpunished. We have seen the military judiciary system in action and acknowledge that the military judiciary system must be amended to maintain rule-of-law.
Additionally, the coup leader Sr. General Min Aung Hlaing and all the parties responsible in the military coup and the violence crackdown on the unarmed civilians must be punished directly by the Untied Nations’ judiciary system.
